Crash Course in Error Theory and Measurement Analysis (2 PDH)

This is over a two hour class that breaks down Measurement Analysis, also known as Error Theory, into a simplified form that any layperson should be able to understand. Jeremy Evans is a genius on this topic and has the ability to simplify complex matters. This class dives into the measurement terminology, sources of error, how to identify & resolve error sources, and weighted adjustments. Multiple problems are also resolved and discussed.

Jeremy Evans has 41 years of professional land surveying experience specializing in boundary determinations, right of way engineering and surveying, GPS and conventional control surveys, topographic surveying, and high definition 3D laser scanning (LiDAR). As the Corporate Technical Survey Director for Psomas, Jeremy is responsible for developing and monitoring all technical aspects and quality assurance/quality control for surveying and mapping projects including freeway and highway routes, railroad and light rail projects, pipeline and transmission line projects, and boundary surveys for public and private agencies. He also manages technical teams that are responsible for developing and implementing new technologies and improving production and quality assurance procedures for Psomas.

Over and above his responsibilities at Psomas, Jeremy teaches land-surveyor exam review workshops for the California Land Surveyors Association (CLSA). He was involved in a video land surveyor training course prepared by Caltrans, and is a past editor of the California Surveyor, the official publication of CLSA.
