Geodesy and State Plane Coordinate System (2 PDH)
Datums and State Plane Coordinate Systems (2 PDH)
This is an over two hour substance packed class on datums, datums, and more datums. John Pavlik delves into:
- Geodetic Datums
- State Plane Coordinate Systems
- Vertical Datums
This is taught in a way that the most common layman can understand. Simple state plane conversion calculations are discussed, and give a comfort feeling about what is actually happening when going from an ellipsoid to a plane. You will feel confident about the shape of the earth and all of its origins once you are done. When discussing state plane, Mr. Pavlik uses the California state plane system as an example.
