California Survey Law
A Cursory Review of the "PLS Act", "Subdivision Map Act" , and "Board Rules"
This is an over three hour in depth class on California Statutes that regulate a majority of the land surveying profession, including:
- Business & Professions Code §8700-8805 “Professional Land Surveyors Act”
- Civil Code §400-476 “Board Rules”
- Government Code §66410-66499.58 “Subdivision Map Act”
Dan May is a veteran on CA law, and has spent several decades teaching it, abiding by it, and at times questioning it. The class delves into the most common sections relative to survey practice and are discussed at length. You will have a great understanding of how CA regulates land surveying, while only listening and not having to read through each section yourself. What a good deal!
