Course Curriculum
This will be the most comprehensive nearly three hour class on GPS that you may ever listen to. The course walks through the following:

- GPS Basics
- Errors & Solutions
- Receivers & Methods
- Coordinates
- Surveying Techniques
The instructor, Rich Maher, is the perfect subject matter expert for this course. Mr. Maher was the Chairman of the California Spatial Reference Center responsible for coordination of all things GPS in California. He even has his own continuously operating base station attached to the building of his surveying firm, KDM Meridian. This course is very comprehensive and will go into the mechanics between the satellite and receiver, concept of satellites, timing, errors & how to overcome, best practices, and more. The course is a great tool for exam preparation, best practices for a firm, or the layperson that has an interest in GPS.
Your Instructor
Mr. Maher is a Professional Land Surveyor with over twenty-seven years of experience practicing in California. He is the owner of KDM Meridian and provides professional land surveying and mapping services primarily in the public works sector, including projects requiring the establishment of survey control through GNSS static and real-time methods. In 2017 he is the Tech Czar for the Orange County chapter of the California Land Surveyors Association (CLSA), a member of the OC Joint Professional Practices and Legislative Committee, the Chair of the Workshop Committee of CLSA, and a Director for CLSA. He also has served on the Executive Committee of the California Spatial Reference Center for the past eight years, finishing the second two-year term as Chair in 2017.
